Stillman's CSA FAQ
We sold out for the 2010 season
How can I get the Stillman's Farm e-newsletter?
Subscribe to the Stillman's newsletter
; )
What is your cancellation policy?
Even though it is a gigantic pain in the potato basket, we understand stuff happens and will refund your membership. If you used a credit card, we will refund your card, minus the transaction fees (currently $10/small box and $15/large box)
What if I can't pick up my box?
Anyone can pick up your box for you, so just make sure your dog walker, cat watcher, Mother-in-Law, etc has the correct first and last name to check off and we'll gladly give them your goodies. Be suspicious if there isn't any fruit. You can also check out the Member Connect Page on our blog.
What if I forget to pickup my box?
You are responsible for making arrangements for your box pickup. If you forget, we are unable to give you another box. Your box was prepared for you, we brought it to the location, waited for you to arrive, and then carried your box home with us. At the end of the day, leftover food is disposed of in a number of ways. Most often we donate the food to someone who can use it, sometimes, if the day was very hot and windy, all of it is thrown to the animals to enjoy. Asking for us to give you another box is like asking for a double share, so please don't. Thanks.
I see you have many pickup locations. Can I pick up anywhere?
NO. members must commit to a location and are responsible for picking up their box on the given day. We plan and pack the boxes based on a list, so, unfortunately, we cannot have folks switching around.
What months do the CSA run?
The CSA begins toward the end of June and continues into October.
How many weeks is the summer CSA?
We base the CSA on a 16 week season, but we generally run 17-18 weeks.
How much food is in a box?
This is by far the hardest question to answer, as so much depends on how much you eat and how many meals you eat at home. We recommend a small box for individuals or small households and a large box for larger families or for folks who simply want to eat more.
Can I buy more produce if I want?
Yes, there are farmer's markets at some of the CSA pickups and we also try to bring extra produce. We also give everyone $20 of Stillman's Bucks to use on anything they want (excepting cutflowers and meats), so if you want more berries, or kale, you can customize as you go. We will also take your orders for bulk items you want to freeze of can.
How much does a CSA share cost?
Our CSA runs like a magazine subscription, we calculate a dollar value for your share and refer to them as small and large box. A small box is $350/season and a large box is $500/season.
What kind of stuff do I get in my box?
Your box will be a happy mix of things, all seasonal produce.

July
Blueberries, summer squash, zucchini, lettuce, field tomatoes, corn, beans, cucumbers, carrots, beets, cabbage and possibly peaches
