What is Community Supported
Agriculture?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a cooperative effort of food distribution, a way of linking small farmers with communities all over the country.
Why do CSAs exist?
Because you, the consumer, are looking for a good product and farmers are looking for the economic benefit of marketing the produce directly.
What are the benefits of CSA?
CSA benefit's the farmer by producing positive cash flow during the late winter when the farmer needs to buy seeds and supplies to begin the spring growing season.
CSA benefits you by providing a constant supply of produce locally grown and offered at the peak of ripeness and absolute freshness. Small farmers are able to grow produce that is better tasting than that of large commercial farms, which often grow fruits and vegetables designed to be mechanically harvested and transported greater distances.
Another great benefit is you know that you are contributing to a farm that donated over 22,000 pounds of produce to area food banks and shelters last season!

We are keenly interested in wildlife and manage our farm to promote and enhance the rich ecology we are part of. This includes stewardship of food plots, habitat, and cultivation practices.
