How does the CSA work?

At the farm, a box of produce will be hand packed for each of our subscribers.  The boxes will be delivered every week to a designated pickup location in our subscribers' communities.
Stillman's

A $300 membership box in July might contain:
1 pt. Blueberries, ½ dozen corn
A head of lettuce, Assorted squash, 1 lb tomatoes, 1 lb peas or beans, 2 cucumbers

A $450 member's box would be similar, containing not only a greater quantity, but also larger variety of items per week.  In addition, there will be plenty of opportunity to order extra seasonal produce for any special recipes you may have: All this and delivered to your area.

In order to keep all the members in touch with what is happening on the farm, a box-letter is included with most weeks' produce. The note often describes what is in the box, varieties, cultural practices, what's coming next, and tried and true recipes.

I thought this year everything tasted especially good. The tomatoes were fantastic, (not heirloom - just the standard ones), the carrots and the fennel were a dream, the corn was unbelievable, the plentiful arugula was a delight. I loved getting so much arugula. I like it when it has the little holes - visible proof it's not sprayed. The broccoli with the longish stems is nice, the chard is great, the butternut squash are awesome, the potatoes make me feel truly nourished.
